Most boarding kennels are built around dogs and fit cats in afterwards. Cats here stay in dedicated quarters, away from the pack and out of the noise.

A separate room, not a corner

Cat boarding is $37 per night for the first cat and $35 for each additional cat, in quarters kept away from the dogs.

What cats need before they stay

Cats need Feline Leukemia and FVRCP. If a vaccine is no longer recommended for your cat, a written exemption letter from your veterinarian is accepted.

Food and length of stay

Send your cat's own food, or meals are served at $2 per feeding. Short stays and long ones are both welcome and the nightly rate is the same either way.

Questions about cat boarding.

Do you board cats?
Yes. Cats stay in their own quarters, quiet and away from the dogs. Cat boarding is $37 per night for the first cat and $35 for each additional cat.
What vaccinations do you require?
Dogs need Bordetella, DA2PP and Rabies. Cats need Feline Leukemia and FVRCP. If a vaccine is no longer recommended for your pet, Pet Ponderosa accepts a written exemption letter from your vet.
What time can I drop off and pick up my pet?
Boarding drop-off and pick-up run Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am or 4:00 to 5:00pm. Pet Ponderosa is closed on Sundays, so plan a Saturday or Monday pick-up if your trip ends on a Sunday.
Can I bring my pet's own food?
Yes, you are welcome to send your pet's own food. If you would rather Pet Ponderosa handle meals, they serve Life's Abundance at $2 per feeding.
Do you discount a second pet?
Yes, automatically. A second dog boards at $56 instead of $59, a second cat at $35 instead of $37, and a second dog in daycare is $32 instead of $36.
How do I make a reservation?
Book online through the Pet Ponderosa reservation portal, then upload your pet's vaccination records. Space fills up fast around holidays and through the summer, so book those stays early.
